In English and Communication this week, we will focus on developing our understanding of what is required to write a grammatically sound sentence. We will then use and apply this understanding to write our class rules. Next, we will read 'The Boy Who Loved Maps' and use it as inspiration to write pieces of poetry. 

In Phonics, we will revisit the Phase 3 sounds that we learnt in Yr1. We will also practise reading and spelling the phase 3 tricky words. 

In Maths, we are going to continue to focus on Place Value. We will focus on developing our understanding of 10s and 1s. We will learn how to use a Place Value Chart and how to partition 2-digit numbers. 

In Science and Computing, we are going to explore the role of Information Technology in the school and in the wider world. 

In Time and Place, we are going to focus on locating London on a map of the UK. We will also complete a walking time-line to develop our chronological understanding of the year 1666.
