Term 4 Week 4

Here is an outline of the learning for term 4, week 4
Term 4 Week 4 - overview
It was so lovely to be back together as a whole class and the children had a really positive approach to their learning.
As we settle back into our routine again, just a reminder that we check the reading records on Wednesday and that homework is issued on Thursday and due in the following Monday. As we have PE first thing on a Friday, children may come into school in their PE kit, but will need to bring their uniform to change into afterwards.
This week is Shakespeare and story-telling week! We will be throwing ourselves into the gripping play, Macbeth. Over the course of the week we will be reading an abridged version of Macbeth and have the privilege of being able to watch a recitation of it by the Royal Shakespeare Company. We will be accessing online workshops featuring readings, recipes and illustration lessons!
As a class we are going to be working on summarising the play, writing witches’ spells and performing and recording our own drama based around Birnam Wood moving to Dunsinane. It should be an exciting week and a really wonderful opportunity to get immersed in all things Shakespeare.
Don’t forget that on Friday to celebrate Red Nose Day, World Book Day and Shakespeare/Storytelling Week, children are invited to dress up as superheroes, Shakespeare or story book characters!
We will be continuing to keep up with our maths focus of multiplication and division, practising the year 3 and 4 spellings and building up our reading stamina through independent reading.
