Biography – I have a son in Year Three at St Barnabas School and I also attend St Barnabas Church. I am currently Head of School at a secondary school in Maidstone, responsible for raising academic standards. I have now been in senior leadership in secondary education for over sixteen years. The best part of the job though is still the teaching. I have thirty years teaching experience, including working as a senior examiner for GCSE History. I also worked for two years in a school in Quebec, Canada, where I led the children in a lot of outward-bound activities such as skiing, canoeing, winter-survival as well as driving them on a 30-day trip of a lifetime from Quebec to Mexico and back again (twice). Those were my younger days. Now I like to relax more in my leisure time by reading history and fiction. I also love cinema, including collecting rare film soundtracks.
