Term 4 Week 4

 Victorian Workshop

On Wednesday 13th of March, as part of our topic and to consolidate our learning, Lilac Class will visit The Amelia Scott Centre to take part in a Victorian Workshop.  We will be finding out by reading extracts from her journal, what Queen Victoria thought about Tunbridge Wells when she came to visit in 1834, three years before she became Queen. We will be shown lots of photographs of Tunbridge Wells taken during her reign and will have the opportunity to handle a range of artefacts, investigating what they may have been used for.  The workshop will be led by an expert in the field, so ensure that your child has lots of questions ready!  Lilac Class will then explore The Amelia Scott Centre, completing a fact file sheet about the Victorian exhibits.
