Here is your learning for Friday 15th January 2021

Term 3 Week 2

Friday 15th January 2021

Good morning Chestnut Class!

Welcome to the end of the week.  It was a delight to see so many of you at the live story session yesterday!  Can’t wait for the next one.

As it is Friday, we will be following our usual routine, which means PE and times table practise on Purple Mash in the morning.

Reading for 30 minutes.  You can do this in shorter chunks if you wish.  Please note down what you have read in your yellow reading record.  I would love to hear what you are reading at the moment!

PE – Try this PE lesson from Yorkshire Sport.  It is specifically designed for use at home and shows how you can improvise without all the fancy equipment we have at school!  I hope you have fun.

#ThisIsPE - Coordination with ball skills - YouTube

Maths fluency – as we usually spend the second half of the morning practising our times tables on Purple Mash, I would like you to do that today.  You can use the mixed tests or Monster Multiplication.  Alternatively, you can test yourself on Hit the Button again.

Art – Last week you worked on a Gorgio Morandi style still life.  This week I would like you to set one up and try using something other than pencil to create your picture.  You could use paints, colouring pencils, felt tips or even collage.  You could try taking a photograph of your still life an editing it using different effects.   In class we will be using watercolours to create our pictures.   I have attached some examples if his still life work to inspire you.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Barter
