Here is your learning for Monday 22nd February 2021

Term 4 Week 1

Monday 22nd February 2021

Good morning and welcome back Chestnut Class!

Reading for 30 minutes.  You can do this in shorter chunks if you wish.  Please note down what you have read in your yellow reading record.

Spellings – We are going to revise some of the words from the statutory year 3 and 4 spelling list.  I have attached some word mats which feature the first 4 words from that list.  They give you some different activities to revise these words.

English – Goblinology page 27/8.   Please read this poem about how to spot evidence of a Goblin.  I would like you to summarise each verse in one sentence only to demonstrate your understanding.  This is what we did for Ted Hughes’ poem The Cuckoo.

Maths – Today we will be multiplying and dividing by 6.  There is a powerpoint today, rather than a learning video.  I have attached it, along with the sheets, to this post.  There are 3 sheets and I would like you to choose the one which you feel most able to tackle.  Please do not think I expect you to do all 3 of them!

Maths fluency – Today I have set some 8 times tables on Purple Mash.

Topic - Please visit the Oak Academy website and watch the lesson ‘I have a dream’.  This will explain to you what human rights are and how they protect people.  You will be asked to think about what you think are important human rights.
