Good morning Chestnut Class!

Reading for 30 minutes.  You can do this in shorter chunks if you wish.  Please note down what you have read in your yellow reading record. 

 

Grammar  - We will revisit recognising speech with an application and reasoning sheet.  I have re-attached the powerpoint from Tuesday in case you would like to watch it again.  The focus is on recognising direct speech and indirect/reported speech.

 

Whole class reader – Please mark your guided reading questions from yesterday.  As usual, I have attached a guide to assist with this.  I hope you have enjoyed this book.  It is a short but interesting book, that is quite challenging to read aloud.  The variation in sentence length is highly effective.  We will begin a new guided reading text after half term.

 

English – Please join me for a live story session again at 11am.  I will be continuing to read from The Midnight Guardians.
