Tuesday 15th December

Reading-

As well as your regular 20 minutes of reading, you can also watch a video of Mr M reading the next chapter from The Witches by Roald Dahl.

https://youtu.be/OGMQZwnpNFU

Once you have watched the video, we want you to make a poster to help children spot a witch. Can you remember all the signs that someone might be a witch?

-an itchy head

-long pointy shoes

-gloves (even in summer time)

-large nostrils

-blue spit

Make an illustrated warning poster to help keep children in our area safe from witches.

Maths-

Watch this learning video and then have a go at the worksheet. We have also added the answers so you can check your work.

First of all, follow this link to watch this traditional Christmas song:

12 Days of Christmas | Christmas Songs | HooplaKidz - YouTube

Now watch Mr M’s learning video which helps you to spot and understand the word and language patters that are in this song.

https://youtu.be/TjKowNZeW_g

Once you have done this, use your understanding of these word and language patterns to write your own version of this Christmas song. Use the writing frame attached to this post to help.

ICT-

Log on to PurpleMash and find the ‘Santa Email’ activity in your list of 2Dos. Complete and send your letter to Santa. If you are looking for an extra challenge, you can also complete the ‘Helping Santa’ and ‘Nativity Poster’ activity. Finally, use the 2Email function to write a short message to Mr Mr M (Charlie Mackinnon) to update him on how you are getting on with your home learning so far this week.
