Term 5 Week 3

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 29th April 2024.

In our main phonics lessons we will be learning about words where the ‘are’ and ‘ear’ trigraphs make the ‘air’ sound, such as share and pear. We will also be reading the words ‘autumn’ and ‘gone’ and writing the words ‘January’ and ‘February’.

In English, we will be continuing to use the story ‘The Great Explorer’ by Chris Judge as the basis for our work on past tense verbs.

In Maths, we will be making equal groups by grouping objects and making equal groups by sharing objects. We will also be placing numbers on a number line in our fluency work.

This week in RE we will be learning about the Islamic story of the Prophet and the Ants.  

In our Time and Place lesson, we will be learning about the location of the 7 continents of the world.

In Computing, we will be learning how to use the Caps Lock key and will use the bold, italic, and underline symbols on the toolbar to change text that we have typed.

Willow class have PE on Monday morning and Thursday morning. Please make sure that your child has their PE kit in school on these days.
