Term 4 Week 4

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 11th March 2024.

In our Phonics lessons we will be learning about words containing the ‘ed’ suffix, such as ‘jumped’, ‘looked’ and ‘gasped’. We will also be reading the words ‘April’ and ‘July’ and writing the words ‘please’ and ‘once’.

This week in English, we will be starting to plan a new adventure for Traction Man and will be finding words to describe our new story setting and villain.

In Maths, we will be continuing to learn about height and length and will be measuring objects using cubes and centimetres. We will then move on and learn about measuring mass. We will be discussing the vocabulary ‘heavier’ and ‘lighter’ and using cubes to find the mass of objects.

In RE, we will be talking about some of the instructions that Jesus gave to his disciples and will start to discuss how Christians show their beliefs about Jesus’ death and resurrection in church worship at Easter. As part of our work on Place, we will be locating and labelling the countries of the United Kingdom. In Computing, we will be continuing to look at ways to group objects together.
