Term 1 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 11th October 2023.

In Phonics, we will be learning to read and write words containing the ‘a-e’ split digraph (such as game, snake and ate). We will also be reading the words ‘love’ and ‘your’ and writing the words ‘little’ and ‘one’.

In Maths, we will be starting to learn about addition. This week we will be learning about part whole models and how to write an addition number sentence.

In English, we will be looking at the book ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak and writing a character description of a wild thing.

In RE, we will be reflecting on our key question “What do Christians believe God is like?” and talking about what we have learnt this term.

In PE, on Monday morning and Thursday morning, we will continue to develop our ball control skills.

In Art, we will continue to paint and draw self-portraits. We will also be drawing our own wild things.

In Computing, we will continue to develop our keyboard skills and will practise typing our names.
