In Phonics this week we will be practising reading and writing tricky words (including there, were, some, come and like). In English we will be learning about past tense words and the “ed” suffix. We will also be practising ordering and writing the days of the week.

In Maths we will be practising counting in 10s, making equal groups and adding equal groups.

This week in RE we will be learning about the story of David and Goliath as part of our work on Judaism. In Science we will be talking about and labelling the different parts of plants and trees.

PE will continue to be on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Please make sure your child brings their PE kit into school on Wednesday to change into. PE kits will stay in school Wednesday night and be taken home on Thursday afternoon. As the weather is getting warmer, it would also be good if your child brings a water bottle to school each day. In PE the children will be developing their running and relay skills.
