Term 3 Week 5

Here is the overview for your learning this week.  We will post on the blog daily with more details of your learning for that day. This coming week Willow Class will be having story times on Tuesday at 2:15pm and on Thursday at 11:30am. It would be lovely if you are able to join us for these sessions.

Please try to read for at least 20 minutes per day. If you need more reading books please contact us via the class email address and we will try to help you.  Remember to keep on sending in pictures of you reading at home so we can add them to the blog.

In Phonics this week we will be learning the letter sounds ‘u-e’, ‘/zh/’ and ‘are’. Activities will be set daily to help you practise our new letter sound of the day. We will also be practising reading some tricky words.

In English this week we will be finishing our work on fact files and then moving on to look at some poems about senses. We will be writing our own poems about things we can see, hear, smell, touch and taste.

In Maths we are learning about numbers up to 50. Activities this week will cover sequencing numbers, grouping and counting in 10s, exploring the tens and ones in a number and looking at how we represent numbers up to 50.

We will also set wider curriculum activities during the week. This will include RE (Monday), Art (Tuesday), Topic (Wednesday), PE (Thursday) and ICT (Friday).

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help or support.
