This Week's Learning

Term 4 Week 1

In English and Communication this week, we will be using the descriptive framework that we used to describe Lady Belle to describe the dragon in our class quest. On Thursday we will we celebrating our love of reading as part of our World Book Day celebrations. 

In Phonics, we will learn to add the -est and -y suffix to words ending in e. Our grammar focus will be on exclamations and statements. 

In Maths, we will continue to explore equal groups. We will focus on arrays and explore how they can be recorded using different multiplication and addition expressions. We will then turn our attention to division. We will focus on how to use grouping to solve division problems. 

In Science, we will focus on plants. We will label the parts of a plant and explain the role of each part. 

In Sport, Exercise and Health, we will complete Team Building and Sending and Receiving activities. 

In Time and Place, we are going to focus on the Anglo-Saxon period of English history. We are going to explore the concept of hereditary monarchy and then explore how the King of England was chosen following the death of Edward the Confessor.  

We will also complete PHSCE, Mastering Number, Guided Reading and Design and the Arts activities as well.
