This week in Phonics we will be revisiting the phonemes igh, oa, oo and ar. In Maths we will be ordering groups of objects based on their size, putting numbers in the correct order, using ordinal numbers and learning to use a number line. In English we will be writing sentences using the first person pronouns ’I’ and ‘we’. We will be writing a narrative for a story setting and thinking about what we can see, hear and smell. We will be following the format of building a sentence, editing it and then writing it where appropriate.

In RE we will be continuing to discuss the story of the Lost Son and what it means to Christians and their beliefs of God as loving, kind, fair and forgiving. In in our PE lesson on Wednesday we will be starting to work on a gymnastics award and on Thursday we will be developing our agility skills with Mr Luckhurst. In our Computing lesson we will be exploring some of the topics available on Purple Mash and will practise saving and retrieving files. In Science we will be conducting an investigation to find suitable materials for a boat to help the boy and girl in the Quest story to cross the moat. In Art we will be finishing our Quest display and painting self-portraits.
