Term 1 Week 3

In English this week we are focusing on creating sentences to describe the actions of characters from Aaron Becker’s Quest. First, we are going to generate actors and actions and create simple sentences. Next, we are going to explore how we can use adverbial phrases to add detail to these sentences.

In Maths, we are going to continue to expand our understanding of place value. We are going to explore how partitioning can be used in different ways and how we can use addition and subtraction calculations to record our thinking. Finally, we are going to think about how we can use the < > and = symbols to compare 1 and 2-digit numbers. 

In Science and Computing we are going to by exploring and using the main parts of a computer. In P.E. we are going to develop our football and gymnastic skills. We will also complete R.E and Design and the Arts lessons as well.

We are also hosting a ‘Meet the Teacher’ event on Wednesday 22^nd September at 3:05pm. We would love to see as many families as possible on Wednesday so we can meet properly and talk about what learning will look like in beech Class this year.
