Term 3 Week 6

This week we are learning –

5 days to go and then half term! Well done for making it this far. All the children from the class have adapted brilliantly. They are complete heroes for coping with all the changes we have thrown at them. All the adults in Maple Class would like to say a huge WELL DONE to them.

Reading – please read for 30 minutes a day, if you are in need of more books please email us and we can arrange collection plus there is always Oxford Owl (login details are Username – maple101, Password – pupil). We will be continuing with ‘Stig of the Dump’ chapter 6, please join us Tuesday at 11 for our story time session, we will also be attempting to play a game of ‘Guess Who’, if you could wear a disguise it would help with the game. This could be glasses, a wig, a hairband, a distinctive top, we need to be able to see it on the camera.

SPAG – we will be exploring suffixes in the past and present tense this week.

English – This is our last week exploring ‘The Stone Trolls’, we would like you to plan, write, edit and publish your own version of the story. This will involve planning on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday is time to write and edit your story to show all the different techniques you have learned. Friday will be a day to publish your story – produce your final, neat copy.

Maths – Instead of moving on to the very tricky concept of column multiplication a week before half term (when we are all very tired!) We will spend continuing to consolidate and practice our multiplication and division facts in a variety of fun and practical ways.

Wider Curriculum – We will be looking at self-portraits on Monday. There will be a fun interactive game for this weeks topic. In RE we will finish our topic on Sikhism.
