In English and Communication this week, we are going to write a recount about our recent visit to Grosvenor and Hilbert Park. We will focus on the key elements of successful recount writing and then work collaboratively to emulate them in our own writing. In Phonics, we use 'tion' to make the /shun/ sound. Our tricky words are 'half', 'quarter', 'touch' and 'straight'.  Our grammar focus is on using apostrophes of possession. 

In Maths, we are going to finish our learning about fractions. We will learn to recognise the equivalence between one half and two quarters. Next we will learn to count in fractions up to one whole. 

In Time and Place, we are going to locate Vietnam on a world map and then use positional and comparative language to describe its location. We will also complete a study of our local environment with a focus on human and physical features. 

On Friday, we will travel to Tonbridge to visit Tonbridge Castle.
