Term 5 Week 2

Here is an outline of your learning for this week:
Term 5 Week 2 – overview
We have our usual ukulele lessons beginning this Monday afternoon.
Spelling and grammar – we will be adding the suffix ‘ly’ to words.
In English, we will be spending our time learning lines and lyrics for our forthcoming show Alice in Wonderland which we will be performing at the Trinity Theatre very shortly!
In Maths, we will be moving onto a unit on decimals by looking at tenths on a place value chart, tenths on a number line, dividing a one-digit number by 10 and dividing a two-digit number by 10. We will continue to practise times tables in preparation for the national assessment at the beginning of June.
In RE, we will be considering what causes we believe in and what we would stand up for.
There will be no PE lesson this week, due to rehearsals for Alice in Wonderland.
Reading records will be sent home, with free-reading children choosing a book from the selection in class or bringing one from the reading scheme. All children have an additional book in their tray for reading sessions in class. Please could we have reading records in school to be checked on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Homework will be issued this Wednesday and is due on the following Monday.
